Nursing Home and Retirement Village is located in Churchtown,
Mallow, County Cork and is close to all amenities in Churchtown
Village. It is approximately a five minute walk into the

Windmill has a Nursing Home adjacent to
the retirement village and their vision is to have
a retirement housing complex of ten houses – designed
for people in their autumn years. The residences are so
comfortable and secure; they have the advantage of 24
hour CCTV, and a 24 hour nurse call system.
 Residents
who live there have access to organised activities and
a hairdresser and chiropodist amongst other services.
The houses are surrounded by extensive
landscaped gardens- including a water feature and the
grass is cut on a regular basis. There is an onsite caretaker
to give advice and assistance should anyone need it, plus
a refuse disposal service that is already organised- so
there is no need to worry- just get on with enjoying your
retirement! The
houses benefit from double glazed windows and doors, oil
fired central heating and a high standard of insulation.
The entrance hall has a beautiful timber floor, a tiled
kitchen floor, tiled bathrooms and wall to wall carpets
in the bedrooms...
The kitchens are fully fitted and the
bathroom suites with recessed showers are of the highest
quality. Throughout the housing – all are fully furnished,
including soft furnishings and for residents safety- there
are fire alarms installed and an emergency call system
fitted…
 The
surrounding area is picturesque – at the back of
the village is an extensive tillage field growing oats
and barley and at the front- a stud farm where foals can
be seen – frolicking around in the Springtime.
Windmill Retirement Village is about maintaining
your independence in older age- but a little extra help
and support is there should you need it… Neighbours
are of a similar age and you will be with like-minded
people…
The retirement village is close to many
places of interest, with Limerick and Cork approximately
45 minutes drive away [handy for the airports]. Blarney-
resplendent with Blarney Castle and its famous stone and
not forgetting the Blarney Woollen Mills, is only 35 minutes
away from Churchtown. If you or your guests are into horseracing
Churchtown is only 15 minutes away from Cork Racecourse
in nearby Mallow and approximately 30 minutes from Limerick
Racecourse. Both tracks host large race meetings. The
large tower house – historic Bunratty Castle- is
approximately just over an hours drive from Churchtown.
