The
Churchtown Development Association was established as
a parish council. Its
aim is to improve the lives of the people who live in
Churchtown. The
largest project that the Churchtown Development Association
completed is the renovation of the "old" school building
on Kerry Lane which is now operated as a multi-purpose
community hall. This school was originally opened in
1845 and closed in 1947 when a new parish
school was opened. Click
