THE
VILLAGE INN
OFFICIAL OPENING 29th JUNE 2002.
The Village Inn was officially opened at 9.00pm on 29th
June 2002 by two of Churchtown's most active senior citizens
- Willie Joe Condon and Kitty FitzGerald. The evening
started with pipers from the Thomas Davis Pipe band in
Mallow, followed by Ketron Sound. The weather was kind
to us on the night and many visitors enjoyed the outdoor
patio and we all look forward to being entertained "al
fresco" some fine evening by a solo accordionist
operating from Maurice Gilbert's lovely Gazebo in front
of The Village Inn... here is a selection of memories
from this most important evening in Churchtown.
The
very first drink ordered in Boss Murphy was by Toby Manning.
